I am an armed conflict researcher and analyst with over eight years of experience. Through my work, I contribute to peacebuilding and conflict resolution efforts by providing insights and recommendations that address the complexities of armed conflict violence. I focus specifically on patterns of violence, gender dynamics, and civilian protection mechanisms.

I completed my PhD in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. I also hold an MSc in Latin American Studies from University of Oxford. My academic research focuses on the gendered dimensions of political violence and civilian responses to war and conflict. Through my academic work, I draw attention not only to the horrors that women face in war, but also to the exceptional acts of agency and strength they show in such circumstances.

I have led research and data collection projects in 10 different Colombian departments (the equivalent to states), and have engaged with countless communities affected by war and conflict. I have published my findings in academic books and journals, as well as in media and policy advisory outlets such as the Washington Post, the Guardian, BBC News, and the Latin America Advisor.

I excel in analytical and project management roles, possess extensive knowledge of research methodologies, and translate my data into actionable insights. I am also fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
